About StageStruck

 

 

 

​StageStruck is a Theatre School based in Godalming, Surrey.  We offer part time training in Performing Arts for children aged 5 - 18 .

StageStruck is all about developing confidence, learning new skills but most of all, having LOTS of fun!

At StageStruck students have the opportunity to perform in our big production show held every two years.  The next show, 'Breakout', takes place in July 2019 at the Princes Hall, Aldershot.

Jane Probett

StageStruck was established in 2005 by Jane Probett.  
She has been teaching theatre skills for the last 17 years.  Jane was also the Director of Theatre Stop and Theatre Base. (Theatre Schools based in Godalming)  as well as teaching at StageCoach and Camberley Theatre.


 

 

Jane trained in Drama and Stage Management at Guildford School of Acting & St Catherine's Drama Studio. She has worked professionally as an Actress, Dancer, Singer, Pianist & Children's Entertainer.  She has taken over 23 LAMDA examinations in Speech, Acting and Mime and holds the L.L.A.M certificate.  Her students have appeared in West End Shows such as 9 to 5, Charlie & The Chocolate factory, Billy Elliot, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Ragtime, Les Miserables, Oliver, The Secret Garden and Whistle Down the Wind.
 

 

Jane has been a member of the actors union Equity for 31years.  She is a registered Matron (chaperone) and a qualified fitness instructor (RSA Cert).  She has certificates in CPR and First Aid and has also undertaken an intensive 1 week first aid course as part of airline Cabin Crew training (cabin crew for eastJet in 2004) and recently completed a first aid course with the Red Cross in August 2018.  Jane holds the 'Safeguarding in Teaching' certificate. 

Jane performed as a Dancer at the London2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony which was an incredible experience and a once in a life time opportunity.  She volunteers for a local elderly organisation in her free time.  Jane is also a keen runner and recently ran her first half marathon. 

Jane teaches the majority of  classes but there are also
professionals who pop in every now and then to teach a class.
